It is no top secret that many of the big on-line poker businesses are likely to be full of activity in the coming years grabbing up other poker operations or floating on stock markets. Previously this week, the stock market assessment of 888 Holdings on the London market has hit record highs as rumors circulate about the predatory intentions of Ladbrokes in the result of its multi billion Pound deal to hive off its Hinton hotels chain.

The chatter in the City seems to have focussed on 888 Holdings, the landlord of the on-line 888 Casino-On-Net and Pacific Poker operations, both of which have leading positions in their respective markets.

The wheels of the online casinos rumor mills are likely to start grinding more rapidly with each day. Already so far, there is rumor about Ladbrokes being alternatively the hunter or the hunted, and now it seems the same applies to 888.com and whatever happens, it is becoming clear that the promised consolidation of the internet poker industry is assembly some early impetus.
